Sclieren (Zürich)

The JED 2226 sets new standards in sustainable construction with the 22-26 concept. Solid walls and optimally dimensioned windows minimise heat exchange and keep the room temperature constant between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius - without any external energy supply. Intelligent sensors control the ventilation louvres to ensure optimum air quality. The building has been awarded SNBS Gold certification.

The AMBER project stands for sustainable innovation: the former glass office building is being renovated according to the 2226 building concept, which does not require conventional heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Efficient construction methods and a PV system on the façade will minimise energy consumption. The refurbishment will be BREEAM Refurbish 'Excellent' certified.
